Big Day at Champion Karate

Today was a very big day for me!
I have been working hard memorizing my karate student creed, working on my Form and practicing my full split.

This is my creed:

I promise to be a good person, to be respectful and courteous of others.

I promise to make good choices, to keep my mind and body strong.

I promise to use self discipline to help myself and others.

I was able to show my instructors good Form and I held my split for a full 10 seconds.
I graduated from ORANGE belt to PURPLE belt and got a patch showing I'm in the "split club."

My next belt is BLUE and then GREEN.

Happy Holidays,

Graduation to ORANGE BELT

Hi Everyone!
Sunday was graduation time again at Champion Karate.
I have been practicing my "FORM" and was ready to move from GOLD belt to ORANGE.
To successfully graduate I needed to attend all my classes, earn "8" stripes and demonstrate my FORM in front of my instructors and classmates.
I did great and earned my ORANGE Belt.
I also received special recognition for my commitment and attitude over the past 8 weeks - "Student of the Testing Cycle."
For graduation, Champion Karate does a huge BBQ with great food. It is fun and I get to hang out with family and friends afterwards and celebrate!
I started classes yesterday for my Purple belt!
That is all for now, bye bye!

First Day of School

My first day of school is now over; actually my first week of school is almost over (since my Dad is late in helping me get my blog up-to-date and posted).
It was a great day and I am in a brand new grade - 1st Grade.
My teacher's name is Mrs. Downs and I like her because she rewards us with candy!
I have lots of friends in my class like Caroline, Zach and Ohmie.
The best part of school is going to the p.e. (physical education) playground! It's like going to a big kid playground.
I have to wear school uniforms this year which is not so bad. My Mom drives me each day and I get dropped off. My class is so far away but I get help and I'm starting to find my own way.
That is all I have to say about school for now!

My New Pet Snake

"The Ball Python"

Hi Everyone!

Today I got my first pet - a Ball Python.
I'm still trying to name him (I think it's a he?)
He is very friendly and calm and I like to hold him.
Mom and Dad set up a huge cage in my room which is really neat.

He will eat frozen mice and will grow to be pretty big, about 4 feet long.
The cage he is in has a lock so our cat can't get in and eat him.

I look forward to sharing more about my new pet.
